Calling on artists of color to submit original work reflecting America from the time Billie Holiday recorded her first album until she gave her final performance. Piece can be about Billie Holiday directly and/or a reflection of the America she lived in at the time.

This form must be completed to be considered for participation and allows you to submit up to three pieces of your own handmade original artwork to be hung in the lobby of the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center in conjunction with RhinoLeap Productions’ presentation of LADY DAY AT EMERSON’S BAR AND GRILL. The exhibit will be hung the week of July 3, 2023, and will remain on display until July 24, 2023. Sales of artwork will be available for purchase through RhinoLeap Productions before and after performances of LADY DAY. In the section below, please answer all "REQUIRED" (*) questions in order for your artwork to be displayed and sold. It is important for all parties involved to understand all of the details; preferences of the artists, the responsibility of each party, and RAG’s consignment partnership. Artists retail prices must include your commission as well as RAG's portion of the sale as outlined on the artist consignment agreement at the bottom of this form. This form and photos of submitted work must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Friday, June 16, 2023. Selections of work to be included in the exhibition will be announced by Friday, June 23, 2023. If selected, art must be delivered to Randolph Arts Guild no later than July 5, 2023 by 5pm. There is no entry fee to have your artwork considered for this exhibition. Artist Agreement By submitting this form, you are agreeing to the following terms:

1. Authenticity: The image(s) entered are of your own personally handcrafted, original artwork, created within the past two years. No commercially produced (items created and/or assembled by another company or organization) items will be exhibited and sold.

2. Exhibition: Image(s), artist name and details of artwork submitted, will be publicly displayed in George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center at 950 Martin Luther King Blvd, Asheboro, NC 27203 and may be displayed online through the Randolph Arts Guild website, RhinoLeap Productions website and Social Media pages (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest). (Artist phone number and address will not be shared with the public.)

3. Consignment: Any entrees will be available for sale through RhinoLeap Productions from July 7, 2023 through July 23, 2023. A consignment check reflecting a 65% Artist and 35% RAG split of the retail cost, will be mailed to the artist within 60 days following the last day of the exhibition, July 23, 2023.

4. Artwork: Must be ready for display based on medium, including framed (if applicable) with appropriate hanging hardware. If the artwork requires special installation methods, artists are asked to call 336.629.0399 to discuss arrangements to display. If selected for this exhibition, the artwork must be delivered to the Randolph Arts Guild no later than Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 by 5:00pm. Following the exhibition, artwork which was not sold, must be retrieved on Monday, July 24 between 11:00am- 3:00pm at the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center.
