Join us on February 13, 2016 for special open houses to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

With 13 different shops to choose from, you are sure to find a piece that makes an ideal gift for you or a special person. Whether you are looking for traditional or contemporary styles, functional or decorative pieces, fine jewelry, handmade ironwork, or finely crafted items. You can spend your day stopping in each of the shops and discover your own.

Stretching almost 3 miles from Pottery Highway 705 along Busbee Road to Jugtown, you will find 12 unique shops/artist that all offer something different. Rather than spend your time fighting crowds at the mall, spend a day meeting the potters and artists of historic Busbee Road.

The following shops will have special offerings for this special day:

Ben Owen Pottery will have a new assortment of their Chinese Red glazed pieces and will be serving refreshments throughout the day. Open 10-5.

Studio Touya will have an assortment of new work just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Chris Luther Pottery will feature mugs, lamps, vases, and an assortment of serving wares in a variety of colors. Come join us for this special weekend. Open 9-6.

Hickory Hill is excited about Valentine’s Day! will be decorated for Valentine’s Day. Refreshments will be served, and door prize drawings will be help throughout the day!. Open 9-5.

Mill Creek Forge will have a variety of hand forged items with hearts: hooks, hangers, brackets and lots more. Always a fun stop to go in and see a real blacksmith shop and forge, Open 10-5.

O’Quinn Pottery will be decorated for the Valentine weekend. Featured items include ”I LOVE YOU” mugs, large and small angels and heart-shaped pottery items. Special refreshments will be served and a door prize drawing will be held. Open from 9-5.

Keith Martindale Pottery will be open with Valentine’s day decorations and refreshments. Open 10-5.

Cady Clay Works will be festively attired for the holiday! We will have new pottery creations and refreshments. Shake off the winter doldrums with a fun day at the potteries. Open 10-5.

Original Owens Pottery will unload a new kiln of their signature red glaze, just in time for the Busbee Road Valentine Open House.

Jugtown Pottery will have a good selection of pieces in Lavender, Peach Bloom, Weathered Bronze, and Copper Reds, as well as decorated pieces. Vases will be available in a variety of sizes to compliment your Valentine’s bouquets. We will be serving hot tea and coffee as well as dark chocolate treats. JLK Jewelry at Jugtown Pottery will have a large selection of new jewelry designs available at Jugtown. Open 8:30-5.

Shopping on Busbee Road is fun and relaxing. No hustle and bustle of the mall, spend your time visiting with the artists themselves. You’ll quickly realize that this isn’t just their job, it’s their passion! And much of their passion shines through in the work created! Plus you are buying local and supporting a small business.
