Beginning Watercolor with Joe Gee  /  Ages 15+  / Saturdays, July 15 and August 5th, 11 am-1 pm

Using primary colors, students will create a seven-color palette and a color wheel reference.  Students will also continue to strengthen and develop brushstrokes.  Expect homework!  This class meets on Saturdays, July 15 and August 11th, with homework assigned between the meetings.  Cost of class is $40 for members, $45 for nonmembers.  Enrollment deadline is July 12th.  To register, please call Program Director at 336-629-0399, ext 22, or come by the Randolph Arts Guild at 123 Sunset Ave., Asheboro, NC.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Watercolor Batik with Debra Spinks / Ages 15 + / Saturday, July 22, 10:30 am – 3 pm

Batik is a process of using a resist – usually wax – and pigment to dye fabric. This class will use this same technique on rice paper to create beautiful batik-style paintings. The class is suitable for both beginners and experienced painters ages 16 & up. All materials will be provided. Acrylic Pour with Debra Spinks / Ages 15 + / Saturday, August 19, 10 am – noon

Learn a fun technique to create amazing abstract paintings using a fluid mix of acrylics and pouring medium. The class is suitable for both beginners and experienced painters ages 14 & up. All materials will be provided. Please note that paintings will need a day or two to dry and will be available to pick up the Monday after the class. Blending Color Pencils with Cara Bevan/ Ages 15 + /Tuesday, July 11, Noon – 3 pm

Colored pencils take on a new life when you learn how to blend them from one color to another. Once you know that, the sky’s the limit! We will be learning about color theory and how to use colored pencils to create gradients and new colors altogether. Chalk Pastels with Marcus Lawson / Ages 15 + / Saturday, July 15, 10am-Noon

Studies in Perspective with Marcus Lawson / Ages 15 + / Saturday, August 12, 11am-1 pm

Drawing with Grids with Marcus Lawson / Ages 15 + / Saturday, September 9, 11am-1 pm
