On Saturday, May 21st, grow your ‘Flower Power’ with an orchid extravaganza at the North Carolina Pottery Center! Learn the basics of caring for and presenting orchids, as well as how color, symmetry, and form affect the desirability of different species. Participants will also learn about the correct containers for orchids and create a slab-built orchid pot!
Meredith College professor of ceramics and orchid specialist Warner Hyde will share his extensive knowledge as the workshop presenter. Warner has served as a judge for the American Orchid Society and has over a decade of experience caring for and propagating orchids. He will have a variety of cuttings on display for participants to examine.
