Mr. Lincoln's Office

The Randolph Arts Guild will sponsor a presentation of Peter Holland's one-man show entitiled "Mr. Lincoln's Office" on Tuesday, May 6, at the Sunset Theatre. Admission for the play is $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for seniors and students. The performance begins at 7:30 pm. Peter Holland is a drama teacher, roving actor, writer, and historian. Several years ago he taught a drama course for RAG and directed his play entitled "The Story Tree". "Mr. Lincoln's Office" is a fifty minute presentation done in full Lincoln makeup and costume with makeup effects developed by Michael Meyer, Director of the School of the Arts Makeup Program. This show will be a treat for the entire family.

THE FANTASTICKS

April 24th to 27th, 2008

The Fantasticks is the longest running musical bar none. It has been sending its simple, tuneful message out for something like forty years on Off-Broadway. RSVP Community Theatre now brings it to the stage of Sunset Theatre April 24-27, 2008. Evening performances begin at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Sunday matinee begins at  2:30 pm. Fall Festival

October 4 & 5, 2008

Parade on October 3

Sponsored by the Randolph Arts Guild this festival is a combination of street fair, bazaar, harvest celebration and homecoming. Held in downtown Asheboro the first full weekend (with a Friday) in October.

It attracts more than 400 vendors and tens of thousands of visitors for more than 30 years.

Potters Conference

March 7, 8, 9, 2008

This conference is hosted annually in Asheboro by Randolph Arts Guild. It features demonstrations and lectures by internationally known master potters.

 

 

Youth Art Month

Youth Art Month has been observed nationally each March since 1969. This annual celebration will be celebrated throughout Asheboro and Randolph School Systems at the Moring Arts Center. This exhibit will decorate the Randolph Arts Guild both up and downstairs.

 

 

 

Art Affaire

Saturday, April 12

Art Affaire, held each spring, is an art auction (and really great party) to help fund the Arts Guild's projects and programs. We have a live auction that consists of original artworks made and donated by artists. There is also a silent auction with art work and commercial goods.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rummage Sale

Our Rummage Sale is one large yard sale. This is an annual fundraiser for the Arts Guild where people throughout the community donate house wares, art supplies, musical instruments, furniture, antiques and more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer Arts Camps

These camps are noisy, messy, exuberant proof that learning can be fun. Annually a large variety of arts camps for children of all ages are offered at the Moring Arts Center.
