Greensboro – What do heavenly cheesecakes, an artful Satan, and saintly beer have in common? Explore these North Carolina connections as visual artist (and Greensboro native) Les Caison III exhibits “The Lighter Side of Satan”. The 12 oil and graphite paintings on panel explore the dark lord amid light-hearted narrative scenarios. The paintings are currently on display now through the May 31st at Cheesecakes by Alex, located at 315 South Elm Street in downtown Greensboro. A special feature illuminates Les III’s “light verses dark” art theme. Cheesecakes by Alex joins forces with Four Saints Brewing Company for a feature trifecta during the free artist reception on Friday, April 1st. No joke — samples of signature beers from the new Asheboro-based microbrewery will be available along with Alex’s well-known cheesecakes. Flavors the public may well be acquainted with may augment and change as light beers, dark cheesecakes, and vice versa will all be available for sampling amid the artwork while supplies last. The event is free and the public is invited to drop by from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Cheesecakes by Alex located at 315 South Elm Street.
