About the Selection Process

Art on Sunset is a Juried event. Participating artists are chosen according to how well their work fits into the scope of the show, how well it is represented in the application, and the quality of the goods. All applicants will be notified by email regarding the status of their application no later than February 1, 2008. Only accepted vendors may participate in the show. You will receive an e-mail prior to the event letting you know where to set up. Vendors are not to share booth space with another artist unless approved by the coordinator in advance. 
Because we receive many more applications than there are spaces in the show, we cannot accept every vendor who applies. After the deadline, the applications are reviewed by The Randolph Arts Guild.  Art on Sunset vendors must be approved by the Randolph Arts Guild and must make the items that they sell. Items brought to Art on Sunset should be original in nature (or, in some cases, be substantially altered/customized by the artist) and are to not to be made from kits, molds or massed produced. The items brought to Art on Sunset are to be made by the approved artists ( i.e.: no selling of someone else’s handmade or commercially manufactured products.) Be prepared to show or accurately describe samples of the items offered for sale. Please ask before you email and submit application.  The application deadline is January 15, 2008. Location and Hours

Art on Sunset is Saturday, April 19, 2008 located downtown Asheboro, NC in the parking lot of Bicentennial Parking Lot.  Show hours are 9a.m. - 4p.m. and vendors should have vehicles off the street by 8:30 a.m.  Specific instructions about set up times and other relevant details are emailed to accepted vendors after the application deadline.  If you sign up to be at Art on Sunset you are expected to stay throughout the entire event.
 
Application Deadline and Fees

The application deadline is 5 p.m. (eastern time) on January 15, 2008. Late and incomplete applications will not be accepted. There are no exceptions to this policy. A $10.00 non-refundable fee is due at the time of application.  All applicants will be notified by email regarding the status of their application on February 1, 2008.  A booth fee of $50.00 will be collected by the Randolph Arts Guild; checks should be made to The Randolph Arts Guild and cash is also welcome.  

Booth Space, Fees, and Payment Deadlines

Booth size is approximately 10' x 10'; vendors provide their own tables and chairs as well as any sort of shade device (such as a canopy or umbrella) that they want to use. Booth fees are due no later than 5p.m. on March 1, 2007. Any fee received after March 1, 2007 will incur a $25 late fee. If payment is not received on time, the space may be forfeited to a vendor on our Waiting List.
Booth fee payment instructions are emailed to accepted vendors after the application deadline.
 
Rain or Emergency 

In the event of rain the show will be canceled and a rain date for the show will be  April 26, 2008.  If conditions are favorable and you can't participate due to an emergency, please send an e-mail to arts@asheboro.com or call (336) 629-0399 to let us know that you won't be able to participate.  Any vendor who doesn’t show up and hasn’t notified us in advance will not be invited to participate in Art on Sunset from that point on.
