A Boston Tea Party!

Join Wilmington's John Golden as he performs his living history program of colonial America. In colonial costume he sings songs (with guitar and old-time banjo) and tells stories about the legends, characters, and history that have shaped our history as Americans. He is a member of the North Carolina Storytellers Guild and The Dram Tree Tellers. Mr. Golden has performed in many school systems, libraries, museums, and festivals since 1984 and has published 5 CDs of folk songs and stories. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to hear a gifted entertainer and learn more of our heritage as Americans. BUT, like any good American, don't expect to be served any tea at THIS monthly tea!

A Family Affair
Family Treasures and Traditions
(Teens and Adults)
This class is an opportunity to document for years and generations yet to come the things you have loved and cherished about your family through the years. From grandmother's chocolate pie recipe, to special vacations, candid photos, cherished memories of Christmas morning, this class will give a chance to document in an artistic journal your special memories as well as learn new traditions from other participants that you might want to incorporate into your family's life. Every participant will leave with an artistic journal to present to their families that will be sure to become an heirloom.
