The Randolph Arts Guild Needs Your Support

Dear Friends,

The Arts in Randolph County Need Your Support.

The Randolph County Commissioners met on Monday, June 21, 2010 to discuss and adopt the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.  Proposals put forth during that meeting eliminated the portion of County funding that the Randolph Arts Guild had previously received.

While this cut of $15,000 does not go far in reducing the County’s $110,193,510 budget, it will regrettably have a significant impact on the Guild’s Programs unless we take action.  We know many of you make annual contributions to Guild, we humbly ask you as members, friends, and patrons to consider making a donation; every dollar of every contribution will help tremendously.

The County Commissioners face some tough challenges, and we have nothing but respect for the difficult decisions they have to make.  However, we know that The Randolph Arts Guild can make their job easier because the arts can be part of the solution.

The arts are a crucial component of what businesses look for when considering a location. These businesses know what we know, that the arts enhance their employee’s quality of life, they give folks a means of self-expression, an ability to share their stories and to connect with their community.  Even more importantly, the arts help foster and cultivate the imaginations of today’s young minds, whose ingenuity and creativity will become the foundation and backbone of tomorrow’s economy.

We know that you value the arts.  We appreciate and are truly grateful of the fact that through the years you have been there for us, so that in return we can be there for you.  Thank you for continuing to support the arts in Randolph County.  Please consider making a donation today.  The Randolph Arts Guild is 501 (c) 3 and donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the tax code.

Sincerely,
DerrickSignature
