The work of Ray LaMantia will be on display in the Sara Smith Self Gallery during the month of August. The Randolph Arts Guild’s Sara Smith Self Gallery is located at 123 Sunset Avenue in Downtown Asheboro. The exhibition will be on display until Tuesday, August 30th. Don’t miss out in meeting this great artist!
Ray LaMantia was born and raised in Long Island, N.Y. During the last forty-five years Ray has exhibited his work widely from Manhattan, NY to Manteo, NC. Ray and his family moved to North Carolina in 2012. Ray is a self-taught artist who has been working in oils for the last 45 years. He sites Dali, Margritte, Maxfield Parrish, and Leonardo DaVinci as famous artists who have influenced his work. Ray creates paintings that appeal to the eye with a photo-realistic style.
Join us for a “Lunch and Learn” lecture at Noon in the Sara Smith Self Gallery on August 30th. Bring your lunch and plan to meet Ray while he talks about his latest work. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
